Rules for Lixin Polyglot Club Language Exchange
1. To be recognized as a polyglot in Lixin, one must speak at least three languages: English, French and a third language, including the languages he/she is learning.
2. Languages exchange includes: English, French, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, and German. These are the six most popular languages on the internet.
3. Use French or English as initial teaching tools, and then gradually switch to speak only targeted language.
4. Every member needs to deposit two credit cards, they are not Visa and Mastercard, but Cards of Patience and Consistency.
5. Basic method is 10-10 or 30-30, speak each language for 10 or 30 minutes, but they can also play in "Challenger Mode": each one only speak the languages he/she want to practice (good for oral training), or in "Global Village" mode: each speak his/her mother tongue (good for listening training).
6. We start to use Skype or MSN as chatting tools in order to use be able type the words in case as well as use online translation tools. Once we can chat continuously over 10 minutes without using the keyboard or dictionary, then we will arrange meetup in the bistro or a hiking on the weekend.
7. Tell me your mother tongue and the languages you are learning, then I will build the "Le Pont de la Rivière Kwaï " for you guys. Tous les échanges sont gratuits.
